Welcome to Shipley Parish Room a beautiful restored community room facility for the surrounding areas. The room is an ideal settring for groups to meet whether to run meetings, participate in crafts, music, art, photography, local history, exercise, meditation,self help groups and childrens holiday activities. With the beautiful shipley country park less than 200m away it makes an ideal setting for family gatherings and parties etc.  

The room is operated by volunteers and is a registered charity with all monies used for the upkeep and maintenance of the premises. Originally the ambulance station for the local mines it has been renovated to provide a comfortable environment including full working kitchen and toilet facilities  

Please read the Conditions of Hire under The time table - by booking the Room, whether by telephone or the on-line Booking Form, you are agreeing to the conditions outlined therein and are therefore subject to the terms stated.

For one-off events please send forward completed Booking Form online. We accept direct bank payments only which will be provided upon receipt of the booking form. for more information about the room or availability please do not hesitate to contact us.

Shipley Parish Room Costs and conditions of hire                                                                                         

FROM 1ST  APRIL 2022

 £10.00 PER HOUR . MINIMUM 2 HOUR BOOKING SLOT 

to allow for Covid Secure changeovers 

Completion and acceptance of the Terms of Hire

Use of kitchen and kettle: no charge.

Use of water boiler (for making large volume tea/coffee) :  £3.50 

Use of electric cooker:  £3.50

Please note : NEW RATE WILL BE CHARGED FOR ALL BOOKINGS TAKING PLACE AFTER THE 1ST APRIL  2022

PAYMENT IS DUE AT THE POINT OF BOOKING - REGRETFULLY WE CAN NOW ONLY ACCEPT PAYMENT VIA BANK TRANSFER 

All areas must be left clean and tidy - no food left in fridge.

All rubbish must be removed from the premises. Failure to remove all rubbish will incur an additional £7 surcharge 

Any damage must be reported to the Booking Officer as soon as possible after the hire date - a charge may be incurred.

Room will be opened 30 minutes prior to the start time and closed 30 minutes after the finish time.

This is a residential area and we respectfully ask hirers to be mindful of this when parking and keeping noise levels down particularly when leaving late evening.
